Terre Mère
The project aims to create, on the outskirts of Lubumbashi, two dynamic production systems capable of restoring the biodiversity of degraded soils while meeting the food needs of CEF's beneficiaries and 40 women involved in the project, thus improving their economic autonomy.

The goal is to create a model of sustainable agriculture that can be replicated in other regions, contributing to the fight against climate change and poverty reduction.

RAISING AWARENESS
The project aims to promote the advantages of organic farming and resource circularity, emphasising their positive impact on personal and environmental health. To engage a wider audience and foster a lively atmosphere in the community, the project will feature diverse awareness campaigns and community discussions held in the city's outskirts and in the villages.

AGRICULTURAL TRAINING
The project has established a partnership with the University of Lubumbashi and international specialists to educate a group of 40 women from rural areas and students from the Faculty of Agronomy on the principles and techniques of syntropic agriculture, bio-intensive horticulture, and the effective reuse of organic waste. This collaborative effort seeks to promote sustainable and environmentally-friendly farming practices, while also empowering women and students in the field of agriculture.

ECONOMIC EMPOWERMENT
Each of the women trained will receive a portion of land to implement the skills acquired: participating in the project activities will allow women to grow vegetables, fruits and wood to first meet the needs of their family, and eventually become financially self-sufficient by selling any excess produce in the local market. Additionally, this will provide the CEF with a reliable source of food for its beneficiaries and a sustainable income stream.
